would recommend waiting for lineups tonight. lots of questions on DC...santos, pontius, kitchen, deleon and word of maybe deRo resting with another game in 3 days (middle of 5 games in 17 days stretch with b2b2b on road). Rapids well rested and have played most of year without mastroeni and casey anyway. Cummings new injury but Casey might be ready and new signing, Edu, definitely ready. Edu's played for Bra national team, Sao Paulo, Betis, Celta, and Inter's copa lib side so has plenty of pedigree

if dero, pontius, deleon, and santos are out for dc i can't take a team with wolff/salihi starting up front

Thanks...yea...10 days rest for Colorado is a worry. Cummings is listed as out on the MLS website (Casey is probable after playing 45 minutes in Dallas 10 days ago)-I didn't see Pontius or Santos on the injury report, but I would never take DC without DeRosario....I will wait. Thanks for your input.

yeah, omar definitely out. got injured early last game. he was out of form for last 11-12 months anyway so not a big loss with Hill, Casey, and Edu to choose from

D.C. UNITED -- OUT: MF Lance Rozeboom (L knee ACL tear); DF Emiliano Dudar (L hamstring strain); QUESTIONABLE: FW Chris Pontius (gluteus minimus strain); DF Perry Kitchen (R knee pain); FW Maicon Santos (L calf strain); MF Marcelo Saragosa (R soleus strain); MF Nick DeLeon (L hamstring strain); PROBABLE: DF Dejan Jakovic (L ankle sprain); DF Ethan White (R knee surgery)

I am going to wait for the line-ups, but I did find this info from Ben Olsen on MLS site.......I agree that Wolff and Salihi are not going to produce much if they are the strike duo.

News of Kitchen’s escape meant that the third pick in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft won’t join the long list of injury-riddled players that Olsen will have to contend with during a critical, three-game, 10-day home stretch for the Black-and-Red. Kitchen is officially listed as questionable for Wednesday, but both manager and player said it’s possible that he will be part of the matchday squad against the Rapids.
Center back Emiliano Dudar is still out with a hamstring strain, while Marcelo Saragosa, who plays at defensive midfielder, and Nick DeLeon are doubtful for the game. Dejan Jakovic is closer to returning than Dudar, but might be pipped out of a spot by Ethan White, who was named to the bench but did not feature against Houston.
“It seems like we got a lot of good news yesterday,” Olsen added. “With some of the guys we had questions marks about, none of them are real serious. Maicon [Santos] has a sore calf, but he is going to be fine, [Chris] Korb is fine, [Chris] Pontius has the muscle thing that has been hampering him, but it’s nothing too serious."

one thing olsen i'm sure realizes is how horrendous his team were in houston saturday. was a hot day and they played in mid afternoon and looked completely gassed. They were outshot something like 20-3 and didn't produce a real good chance. DeRo, in particularly, looked exhausted but at his age and in that heat it is understandable. With what should be a clear 3 points on Saturday really wouldn't be surprised if he didn't risk those guys but will know soon enough. If they all play Colorado will not win, but could snag a draw. I'd like DC's chances with full squad

the players likely knew on Mon or Tue who was playing and Najar made a comment in an interview that sure sounded like we should expect a lot of changes

“On Wednesday, there will be players with an opportunity and we hope that everybody brings their best so we can take three points."
